A uniquely beautiful copper-clad geodesic dome (earthquake proof)is on 20 acres of redwood forest. The huge southern diamond-shaped window overlooks the redwood valley 900 feet below and the Pacific Ocean, and the northern one looks into the forest. Three large skylights fill the dome with light. There is an attached bedroom and large bath-house. The floors are Utah slate with small fern fossils, the walls and kitchen cabinets are redwood paneling, and there is an indoor slate pool/hot tub in the south window. A studio/cabin is nearby with a sleeping loft. The kitchen has a new gas range and pull-out drawers in the cabinets under the redwood slab kitchen counters. The heating is a woodburning stove or moveable electric radiators. The nearby small town of Point Arena has world-class surfing and an
underwater marine laboratory, a wharf and a lighthouse as well as beautiful beaches. A world-class restaurant, St. Orres, is only 10 miles south on the coastal highway. The weather is cool in the summer and above freezing in the winter. The villa is near the beautiful coastal highway and thus not too far from many outstanding views and tourist attractions such as state and national parks, and San Francisco is only 155 miles south.
